Hahaha. Adam sorta expected me to blog about yesterday eh. So alright I will. About time I updated anyway.
So yesterday started with the both of us oversleeping and leaving for Queensway later than planned. I always feel nostalgic when I step into that place since it was my favourite hangout when I was in JC. First thing we did was to buy bubble tea. Coz what's a visit to Queensway without drinking bubble tea, right? We wanted to go to the CD shop next to the toilet that sells lotsa metal CDs but unfortunately it was closed. Very disappointing indeed.
So we headed to HMV instead and the metal collection there was rather pathetic. And one of the saddest things ever happened. I've been eyeing Candlemass' Dactylis Glomerata for some time now and it's been lying there for the longest time. I finally made up my mind and decided to buy it yesterday since I'll be getting my pay soon. But guess what. It wasn't there anymore. Damn! And it's so very hard to find that album in Singapore! Why do this to me?!?!
Anyway, I ended up getting James Taylor's Best Of album which is pretty good. Adam got Nightwish's Angels Fall First and we left the shop happy. Adam being happier than me of course. We stopped by Starbucks to give our legs a short break before heading to Far East where after lots and lots of walking, we managed to find the shop that sells band tees. Nothing that really appealed to me though. The Dream Theater Train of Thought one was quite nice but I didn't buy it. Well, at least we now know where the shop is and won't have to search the entire building again.
Bused down to Plaza Singapura for dinner after that (bus concession rocks!). Salmon bowl from Yoshinoya made me really full. Oh, while we were taking the bus down there was some drama going on in the bus. About someone not wanting to pay or something. *shrugs*
Okay so that's yesterday. I like such outings. Something I can't seem to be able to do with anyone else except Adam. Maybe it's in the genes or something.
Watched Curse of the Golden Flower on DVD last night. I liked that it was really dramatic with elaborate costumes and sets and all. Music was not bad. But the ending was well, typical Chinese period drama ending. Heh. Chow Yun-Fat played the emperor really well and Jay Chou was better than expected.
Work today was bloody tiring.
Dactylis Glomerata. I still want.

We celebrated Desmond's birthday last Saturday. Had a nice dinner at Swensens followed by a talk cock session at Starbucks. We were supposed to watch a movie but somehow ended up at Starbucks. Anyway, it was a lot of fun. I'll upload photos to Facebook one of these days. When I'm feeling less lazy. Hee hee.
Oh yes. I heard some rather shocking news about Therion a few days ago. I suppose most fans already know. Oh well... I'm curious to see what the new line up will be like. But I'll also miss the old one loads and loads.
On a more random note, there's another DS game I'm addicted to. Cooking Mama 2!

The weekends just fly by too quickly. Damn, man. Pretty good weekend though. We sang a birthday song for the archbishop! Haha.
Adam starts school tomorrow so at least I won't be the only one waking up early tomorrow, hee hee.
Darkness drapes my weary eyes
drape the void that grows inside
And I can't take this veil away
I can't find the strength
I tried to shield my scenery
tried to set my mind free
This life has brought me to my knees
Devastation unleashed
Whispers...calling on the wind
Like voices calling from deep within
Shivers...all down your spine
I'm the void that rides your aching mind
Nightfall seems to come my way
and it seems as if to stay
A shadow haunts me from the past
Will it forever last?
A voice is calling in the wind
yon the horizons, and from within
I deem the thought, shall I abide
these ghastly wispers inside?
Whispers...called you on the wind
Like voices called you from deep within
Wither...wane adown the line
I'm the void that rode your aching mind...

Time really flies. It's April already. Just 2 more months till the end of my stint in Tangs. And 2 more months of being a 21 year old. Man, I'm really becoming an old hag soon! Sigh... I like being 21. Not too old, not too young. Oh well, 22 ain't that much of a difference right? But soon I'll be 23... 24... 25! And that's a quarter of a century! *Gasp*
Ah, since I'm turning 22 in 2 months, I might as well do a little wishlist eh? Since I've never actually done one before. This is just for the heck of it though. I'm not really expecting to receive anything from anyone.
1. Therion stuff!
2. The Black Mages CDs.
3. Feist's Serpentwar Saga.
4. Threadless tee. The one that says "This is the oldest I've ever been."
5. Milan jersey.
6. Ang pow with lotsa cash.
7. The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack!
8. A subwoofer.
9. Good eyeliner that doesn't melt in humid old Singapore!
10. An electric guitar... Hee hee...
11. Shoes. Definitely something a girl can never have enough of.
12. More eye make up would be nice.
13. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy novels.
14. Neil Gaiman's Fragile Things.
15. Tickets to a good concert/ musical.
Okay. This is just the materialistic side of things. So no "world peace" nonsense. Haha. Oh and I've got a Nintendo DS lite as my early birthday present! Yes, I've finally got one. Still addicted to Diner Dash thanks to Cheryl. Hahaha.
