Ah. Another overdue post. I should really stop being so lazy...
[Concerts]
Attended 2 concerts recently. The first one was Bach's Mass in B Minor performed by The Philharmonic Chamber Choir and The Philharmonic Orchestra. It was very good. Most of the soloists were very impressive. And I was pretty surprised to see Amy singing. Didn't know she sang with that choir. Met the St David's Choir people there too. They were there to support Amy. Dinner at Ichiban Boshi after that. Yummy yummy. Lucas' cha soba looked much more delicious than my unadon though. Oh and Geri and I gave Lucas his birthday present. He liked it so much that he tried it on immediately. :)
I have good taste in shirts eh. Haha. Well, Rayne and Vina helped out on this one actually.
Second concert - Chris Botti. My gosh. It was nothing short of awesome. I thought I was paying just to see Chris Botti but was pleasantly surprised by a rather stellar line up. Billy Childs, whoo hoo!!! All the synchronised parts, trading solos... Kinda felt like a jazz version on Dream Theater. The 90 minute set was definitely too short. Favourite songs of the night - Hallelujah and My Funny Valentine. Bought his new album, Italia, after that. Haven't had the time to listen to it properly though. Oh and that was the second CD I bought that day. Got Apocalyptica's Cult earlier in the day. Really good. Hall of the Mountain King is excellent.
[Of work...]
It's gonna be my last 2 weeks in Tangs. Kinda sad actually. I enjoy working there. Well, the work might suck sometimes but the people are nice and I like the environment. Plus I ain't looking forward to going back to school at all. FYP. Oh no. Ah well. I shall just enjoy my last 2 weeks there. I'm gonna miss my colleagues when I leave. It was Rayne's last day on Friday and I'm missing her already. One thing I'm glad about though. Report submitted, logbook inspected. So no more worries there. Whew.
[Movies]
Watched Love In the Time of Cholera and Stardust on DVD recently. Both are very good I must say. I wanted to read the books first but didn't have the patience. Love In the Time of Cholera was very well done. Very sweet and sad but also with good humour. I'll definitely start exploring more of Gabriel Garcia Marquez's stuff. Stardust, what can I say. I simply love Neil Gaiman and was totally enchanted by Stardust. Awesome cast, great story, good pace. I don't know why it got bad reviews. Yup. So that's it for movies for now. Next up, American Gangster.
Well, that's all for now, I think. I'm off to listen to the Verdi stuff Lucas sent me. The Alto meeting this morning went pretty well.

Shh, it's..here..
Hello world.
It's past midnight and I don't feel like going to bed at all. It's gonna be a pretty crazy fortnight for me but I'll be able to heave a huge sigh of relief come 23rd May.
Planning the section meeting is giving me a gigantic headache.
Tangs is having their 12% rebate sales these 3 days. Being the efficient shopper I am, I've already bought a belt and a pair of Sennheiser earphones which I have yet to test. Will get Lucas his birthday present too. I wanted to get a pair of slingbacks but as luck would have it, I couldn't find a pair that fits. Prolly a good thing, since I haven't got much money to spend. I have so much to save up for.
I guess I should sleep now, eh?
Shh, it's..here..
I've been wanting to blog many times between now and the last time I updated. But you know, I'm usually either busy or lazy. So I guess this will be sorta a many posts in one post. I had a really busy week last week. Both at work and out.
[Monday]
Think this was a rather boring day. Had a meeting marathon which was very tiring. Got home to find out that the new season of Without A Trace has started and I missed the first episode. Tsk.
[Tuesday]
I actually had nothing planned after work. But Iggy and co called me out to join them for KTV. Well, I'm not really a big fan of KTV, mainly coz I don't know most of the songs they sing. So I said I'd just join them for dinner since I haven't seen them all year. But in the end they convinced me to join them and I later found out that they were also celebrating Iggy's birthday. It was kinda fun. It's been a long while since I've met those uncles coz of IA and all and I missed them terribly. Here's a photo of the girls.
[Wednesday]
Iron man! I've been waiting all year to watch this! Met up with Sarah and Kelly for some shopping at Tangs first. Kelly made good use of my staff discount and I managed to use my TFLC as well. Heh heh. Met the guys at Plaza Singapura after that for dinner and the very highly anticipated movie. And very good, it was. One of my favourite superhero movies. Though I thought the character Pepper Potts could be developed more. My only gripe, really. I actually think this one's better than Transformers. And the short clip after the credits! My goodness! Does that mean I can look forward to The Avengers movie? Anyway... Photo! Of the guys this time.
[Thursday]
Sat in for FOC meeting after work. This year's committee's made up of mostly freshies from last year's FOC. I haven't seen them for so long, I actually couldn't recognise some of them! Enthusiastic bunch. Hope this year's FOC will be good. And I hope I can attend. No photo this time.
[Friday]
Rushed down to sing for the Pentecost Triduum after work. My singing kinda sucked coz I was tired, hungry and not warmed up. Yucks. We only got to eat at around 10pm and I was starving to death. Didn't eat anything since lunch. And I was really cranky. A hungry woman is an angry woman, you know. Had quite expensive but quite good chicked rice for dinner and I was all smiles again. Headed to Desmond's place with Adam and Geri after that. We watched August Rush. Brilliant film! A must watch, definitely.
[Saturday]
As you can see, I had a very busy week. So I had to recover and catch up on my sleep by sleeping for 11 hours! Woke up just in time for choir. Hee hee. It was Pentecost and all the Altos were wearing red! Yay!
[Sunday]
Went for HCJC's choir concert with Desmond, Lucas and Geri to support Michael. It was not bad. I found some songs rather interesting. Hung out at Starbucks after that and we ate some yummy donuts as well. Looking forward to our next concert outing of Friday! Without Desmond this time though. Awww...
[Today]
Tiring day at work. Bleah. And I was kinda restless as well. Monday blues? I almost dozed off during today's meeting, man. We're having the next meeting next Tuesday at 4pm. Which sucks coz it's Chris Botti day! Damn! Oh. I watched Without A Trace. Haha.
Okay okay. That's all for now. More photos on Facebook!
