Ah. Another overdue post. I should really stop being so lazy...
[Concerts]
Attended 2 concerts recently. The first one was Bach's Mass in B Minor performed by The Philharmonic Chamber Choir and The Philharmonic Orchestra. It was very good. Most of the soloists were very impressive. And I was pretty surprised to see Amy singing. Didn't know she sang with that choir. Met the St David's Choir people there too. They were there to support Amy. Dinner at Ichiban Boshi after that. Yummy yummy. Lucas' cha soba looked much more delicious than my unadon though. Oh and Geri and I gave Lucas his birthday present. He liked it so much that he tried it on immediately. :)

I have good taste in shirts eh. Haha. Well, Rayne and Vina helped out on this one actually.
Second concert - Chris Botti. My gosh. It was nothing short of awesome. I thought I was paying just to see Chris Botti but was pleasantly surprised by a rather stellar line up. Billy Childs, whoo hoo!!! All the synchronised parts, trading solos... Kinda felt like a jazz version on Dream Theater. The 90 minute set was definitely too short. Favourite songs of the night - Hallelujah and My Funny Valentine. Bought his new album, Italia, after that. Haven't had the time to listen to it properly though. Oh and that was the second CD I bought that day. Got Apocalyptica's Cult earlier in the day. Really good. Hall of the Mountain King is excellent.
[Of work...]
It's gonna be my last 2 weeks in Tangs. Kinda sad actually. I enjoy working there. Well, the work might suck sometimes but the people are nice and I like the environment. Plus I ain't looking forward to going back to school at all. FYP. Oh no. Ah well. I shall just enjoy my last 2 weeks there. I'm gonna miss my colleagues when I leave. It was Rayne's last day on Friday and I'm missing her already. One thing I'm glad about though. Report submitted, logbook inspected. So no more worries there. Whew.
[Movies]
Watched Love In the Time of Cholera and Stardust on DVD recently. Both are very good I must say. I wanted to read the books first but didn't have the patience. Love In the Time of Cholera was very well done. Very sweet and sad but also with good humour. I'll definitely start exploring more of Gabriel Garcia Marquez's stuff. Stardust, what can I say. I simply love Neil Gaiman and was totally enchanted by Stardust. Awesome cast, great story, good pace. I don't know why it got bad reviews. Yup. So that's it for movies for now. Next up, American Gangster.
Well, that's all for now, I think. I'm off to listen to the Verdi stuff Lucas sent me. The Alto meeting this morning went pretty well.
Shh, it's..here..
